My, how kids grow

I don't know...who does she look more like? Me or her Dad? Not that it really matters, It's just kind of interesting. She's dark~eyes, hair, skin, like her dad. But, depending on the expression on her face and her mood, I can see me. Isn't that amazing how it works.

I think God took the best from Beth's Dad and I and made what you see in this picture. I'm pretty impressed with His work! :)

Keepers of the Gate

So, Stockton(dog) has been here alot longer then Lucy-Fur(cat). He does all the normal dog things like scratch at the door incesently when he wants out...or in. He watches the fish in the tank and tries to paw and bite at them through the glass.
But the one think that is a constant in our home is Stockton the sentinal! He is our "neighborhood watch." It doesn't matter what it is, he's up there on the chair watching through the plantation shutters; that he opens himself with his nose and aligns just right to get the perfect view.
We've had Lucy-Fur for 2 1/2 years now and we've noticed some things. She scratches at the door incesantly when she wants out...or in. She lays on top of the fish tank and hangs off the side to get a better look at the fish to paw at them through the glass and...

She sits on the table, opens the shutters with her paw in just the right position to watch everything going on in the neighborhood! This cat obeys NO ONE! but watches every dumb thing the dog does and is now copying him! I'm just glad she hasn't figured out how to BARK!

Nate

End of an Era

Or maybe I should say,"it's about dang time!"

Nate has finally given up what "gave up the ghost" 2 years ago! We bought him this accordian folder I believe, for 7th grade. I asked him to get rid of it last year. no dice. This has been duct taped so many times and it has no fold-over cover anymore. But, it does have the RUSH stickers he bought at the RUSH R30 Concert we took the boys and their friends too 2 years ago, so I suppose that would be a difficult thing to just throw away. In this house it's almost sacreligion!

I don't know, it's not like it's your favorite cat or dog...it's a plastice folder for cryin' out loud! Time to move on little man. On to bigger and better things like a Trapper Keeper. Yeeeeaaaaa...A Trapper Keeper! Loved those growing up. You'll be ok hon...I promise.
