Keepers of the Gate

So, Stockton(dog) has been here alot longer then Lucy-Fur(cat). He does all the normal dog things like scratch at the door incesently when he wants out...or in. He watches the fish in the tank and tries to paw and bite at them through the glass.
But the one think that is a constant in our home is Stockton the sentinal! He is our "neighborhood watch." It doesn't matter what it is, he's up there on the chair watching through the plantation shutters; that he opens himself with his nose and aligns just right to get the perfect view.
We've had Lucy-Fur for 2 1/2 years now and we've noticed some things. She scratches at the door incesantly when she wants out...or in. She lays on top of the fish tank and hangs off the side to get a better look at the fish to paw at them through the glass and...

She sits on the table, opens the shutters with her paw in just the right position to watch everything going on in the neighborhood! This cat obeys NO ONE! but watches every dumb thing the dog does and is now copying him! I'm just glad she hasn't figured out how to BARK!
