Morgan called it Bonding...

My Mother says, 

"It's a good thing you're Pretty Shelly!"

What? Is there something wrong with these shots? Do I have a zit? Is  my hair out of place? 

Morgan thought we needed some bonding time tonight. I was gone most of the afternoon and evening; weight training, and back to work for a meeting, McDonald's Happy Meals for dinner at almost 9 o' clock. Yea...I'm feelin' it tonight. 

But my baby needed some time...time to be goofy with me, and I haven't let myself be goofy enough these days, so yes, this old woman needed it too. 

In other news,

Morgan went to the Temple for the first time yesterday to do Baptisms, so I asked to tag along. I was there the first time Beth went, and I teared up a little bit then too. 

My kids...they're growing up and doing big kid stuff... and almost adult stuff... and Brett...well, he's doing AMAZING stuff with the people of Spain. He comes closer and closer to becoming the man we know he can be, with every week that passes; with every letter we receive. 

They're growing up faster then I can keep up with, and my thought...when I really think about it  is, "Have I been a good enough parent, that when they DO. GROW. UP. will they want me as their friend?" I hope so. Because I love every. single. one. of them with every part of me and after all the "Parenting" garbage that has had to be done, I really just want to be the Mom they want to hang out with and laugh with; really hard laughter, like when I'm with my Sister Stacy and My Mom. Oh yea...you know what I'm talkin' about. 

I want that!
